Salient Features Of DDM Series Digital Density Meters

Wide Measurement Range

The DDM-series density meters can measure the density of samples ranging from 0° to 90° Celsius. They also offer temperature control which aids accurate analysis of liquid samples at a standardized temperature.

Effective Bubble Detection

Air bubbles in the U-tube can cause the density measurement instrument to malfunction resulting in erroneous values. Since this is a common issue, it is necessary for the U-tube to be visible to the operator. Rudolph Research Analytical density meters come as a relief to this hassle. They are equipped with a high-resolution camera that enables zooming the image of U-tube by up to 10 times. The LCD display provides a live viewing option of the U-tube. This feature is exclusive to the DDM-series density meters and is offered by no other manufacturer.

CGMP/GLP Calibration

Calibrating a density measurement instrument with air or water is not approved by the regulations prescribed by cGMP/GLP compliance. It is advisable to calibrate them with 2 or 3 traceable standards. With the DDM-series digital density meters, calibration requires minimal effort. The oscillating U-tube with full range viscosity correction and reference oscillator enable long term calibration stability and analysis at all temperatures with a single calibration. They also provide the ability to print out complete method configuration, communication settings, and calibration settings data/history.

Communication Capabilities

DDM-series density meters provide different means by which the instrument can communicate with PCs. The options include USB ports, a Cat 5 network cable connection, and 2 RS-232 ports.
