Agaram Industries was started in the year 1959 by a father-son duo as a glassware manufacturing company. A few years later, we forayed into the domain of analytical instruments by becoming the agents of Bausch + Lomb for their UV-Vis spectrophotometers. The following year, we were able to get a strong foothold in the market by selling a record number of double-beam spectrophotometers for Bausch + Lomb in a single calendar year.
In the early 1990s, we became the distributors of digital polarimeters built by Rudolph Research Analytical (RRA), USA. As a result of our aggressive approach to the market, RRA made us their exclusive distributors in India also for their density meters and refractometers. The last decade of the 20th century also saw Agaram becoming the exclusive distributors of La Monferrina (later changed to Imperia & Monferrina), a world-renowned Italian manufacturer of pasta machines.
In the 21st century, Agaram expanded its line-up by with products from Kyoto Electronics Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Japan and Bastak Instruments, Turkey. Simultaneously, we also increased our head count and set up branch offices in Hyderabad first, then followed by Mumbai and New Delhi.
In 2015, we bagged the exclusive distributorship of Kyowa Interface Science Co. Ltd., Japan. We then became the representatives of Mark-10, USA, in the year 2017.
The 1000+ installations of polarimeters and 100+ installations of contact angle meters stand testament to the reach of Agaram Industries in the Indian market.
